Happy father’s day, Today.
Be happy all fathers, not easy to be a
good father, but tried to be a nice father.
On the journey, on the roads, on
surface, on air, on dot, on daily life and lives, with time and beautiful
space, lands, etc.
Thank you so much for your great
guidances, generosity, helps, excellent nice friendships and strong
supports.
Highly appreciated.

What in my mind on this father’s day.
Today.
Please note:
The materials shown do not carried the
total all my “wishes, ambitious & desires” in my mind and heart during the
year 1965-1972.
1. My
father, F.R. Chen, he always a good father for me.
2. My
father sent me to the TFJH in year 1959, via his wonderful works and
relationships with the school teachers in the elementary I attended since
1953-1959.
3. My
father was a GM of county famers Associates, which owned by local government.
4. My
father was the head of local council for the country people and work for the
benefits for the local residents.
5. My
father a tall handsome man, tall slender and strong. He used to wear Japanese soldier’s
costume, he also had Japanese Sword and kept in our home.
6. My
father enjoy the photographs, and photos, beautiful beauties, my father kept
the negative films, made by transparency glass, breakable. The heavy breakable
negative glass made films, so heavy, so one day, while I was four years old, I
can’t handle the heavy glass negatives and dropped to the concrete floor and
broken into pieces. I didn’t let my father know, I broke the glass negative
films which he kept.
7. My
father want me to attend a Tech. institute while I was 16 years old, my father
and my eldest brother insisted I should attend the Tech Institute due saving
education cost, and easily find a job, and make money as soon as I graduated
from the Tech. Institute. I said NO to my father and my eldest brother.
8. Later
on, I attended TFHS with my own will even my father may not agree with me, but
my father didn’t force me to accept and bear his will.
9. I
attended, Marine Engineering, Electronics Divisions in Marine-time College at
the North of Taiwan, (The campus of college, facing the Pacific Ocean, and
Taiwan Strait),in the college ,The first four years stayed in the college,
studied and major in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics. The fifth year
of the college education, I took more than six months training in the
Ocean-liner across Pacific Ocean and reached the nations, Korea, Japan, USA .I learned
a “lot”, but I learned “nothing? Or as much
less as I was looking for more Humanity, Culture, Arts, Music, Social Service”
as I expected. - Primary, I did want to learn how to make fortune via doing
business local & worldwide.
10. I
stayed in the Taipei National Central Main library, Taiwan, six years
continually, I seldom attend the classes in the college I attended. I did not
understand what the university teachers or professors taught ne in the
textbook.
11. I
studied all details by myself.
12. In
my life, lifetime up to today, I don’t understand the people who are telling me
or teaching me with what in their mind, or right from the textbook.
13. While
I was a graduate student in Graduate School, my father wrote me a letter with
15 or more pages, I kept this letter and I didn’t open this letter, due at that
moment, I had serious finance, no-tuition, no money for daily food etc., while
I was in one of the Campus of the University located in USA South.
14. My
father was a landlord owned large farms, but taken by KMT, Taiwan in year
1949-1951. He lost his fortune and lands without much and fair compensations,
but at that moment, my father had 10 children needed to be educated and raised.
15. My
father got 15 kids, 10 boys and five daughter. I am the 8th. Son of
my father.
The
first five kids of my father did not survived, were dead due to the lack of
medicine to cure the illness of the “Lung Critical Fever “in the years “1926-1934
approx.?”.
16. My
father sent me to the TFJH in year 1959, via his wonderful works and
relationships with the school teachers in the elementary I attended since
1953-1959.
17. August
7, 1959, after I registered my student status, of the junior high school, TFJH,
the same day, afternoon, heavy rains non-stopped continually approx... 24 hours
or more, floods all over the places, in villages in the Central North Taiwan.
During
the time in these flooding zones, the foundations of railways, the roads for
buses, the Railways stations, several are coved by falling rocks, stones, fallen
trees, sands, it’s flooding disaster in Taiwan History, on this day August 7th.
1959.
18. I
took my new shoes off and handed with my hands, and I carried my “TFH, Taichung
First High School”, marked book Satchel” across the flood damaged road and went
back home around 16:30P.M. August 7th. 1959.
19. I
can’t remember that day my father was with me or not, but at critical time, he
always next to me while I was at my teen ages.
20. Thanks
