Responsibilities:
Report to the Technical Resources Manager, and perform analysis, studies,
consultation and review/approve the engineering work of outside consultants,
A/E’s and
construction firms in the areas of lighting, wiring, electrical distribution
and instrumentation control related to HVAC, industrial utilities and other
mechanical electrical systems. Other responsibilities will include: * provides technical
support to the marketing/sales and project management teams. * Identifies
technical opportunities within customer organizations. *Provides technical
management of outside service providers, also, reviews and approves results of
engineering analysis.*
*provides
technical support during the construction phase. *Estimate energy consumption
for HVAC, lighting, motors, refrigeration, industrial processes, and co-generation
systems. * Interacts with consultants, service providers, customers, and trade
organizations.
Requirements:*
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in electrical
engineering/construction of industrial and commercial facilities with emphasis
on energy saving projects.* Extensive knowledge of lighting, wiring, and power
distribution system. *BS degree in electrical engineering is required. *Master degree

electrical engineering and/or professional engineering license in the state of
California is desirable. *California “Certified Energy auditor” certificate is
beneficial. *good understanding of energy efficiency technologies. *Knowledge
of lighting systems design, day lighting strategies and lighting level
measurements. * Experience in electrical equipment/system specification,
selection, also knowledge of installation and start-up.* Experience working
with consultants, A/E’s and contractors/vendors.
